desperate plea for document review and preparation help from a valued client. “We received a client call Friday afternoon regarding an investigation which required reviewing documents exceeding 20 Gigs within two days, prior to the Monday reporting deadline. Our options: print all emails and attachments and prepare for manual attorney review; send them to a vendor for deduping and converting to TIFF, text & metadata; or use our imaging and electronic document PreDiscovery™ software.”
ICE Saves the Day
After having successfully used Image Capture Engineering’s (ICE) production level imaging and
document review software on numerous occasions, Goodwin Procter opted to utilize ICE’s LAW and Z-Print products for this important case.
“We were confident that Legal Access Ware, the legal industry standard in high volume imaging and electronic document distribution and Z-Print, a powerful tool for converting multiple electronic file types to tiff, searchable .PDF, and hard copies, would not only enable the attorneys to review all relevant documents within minutes, but more importantly provide our client with considerable cost savings,” noted Ms. Turgeon. “The attorneys were under a huge time crunch to have emails reviewed within 2 days and Z-Print allowed us to dedupe more than 50% of the documents (perform a review of native files), which eliminated the production and printing time prior to review. Our attorneys were able to begin their review within 30 minutes of receiving the nsf files.”
