Phone Numbers
When you enter a standard 10 digit phone number in a phone number field, you don’t need to format the area code or include the hyphen. ProLaw will parse the phone number for you automatically.
You can also enter e-mail addresses and Web site addresses in phone number fields which will enable the phone dialer button that appears in that field to address an e-mail message for that address or access the Web site listed.
Cool Date Tricks
In any date field in ProLaw, pressing "t" (without the quotes) and then tabbing out of the field will populate the field with today’s date. Additionally, you can enter plus or minus values after the date. Tabbing out of the field will add or subtract the designated number of days from the date currently in the field. For example, if an event date currently reads 5/14/2001 and you enter "+20" after the date and tab out of the field, the date will re-calculate to 6/1/2001. Likewise, if you entered "-20" after the date, the date will recalculate to 4/24/2001.
Abbreviations
Many people use Abbreviations to streamline their time entries. Abbreviations also work in any notes field in ProLaw.
Spell Checking
You can run spell check on any notes field in ProLaw. Just right-click on the field and select "Spell Check" from the pop-up menu. You can also spell check individual time entries this way.
Recurring Entries
Tired of making the same entries every single month? Set them up as recurring entries and ProLaw will enter them automatically when they are due. Select an example of the entry in "Journals" and click "Recur" to set it up.
