Sanction

Use Main Screen List to View Hot Keys
When an item is selected from the "List View," there are several "undocumented" shortcut keys. Some of these shortcuts were designed as time savers, and some as debugging tools. Note: The "List View" must have the "focus" for these keys to be enabled, and unless otherwise documented, you must be at the Group level (i.e., pages of a group displayed). Otherwise the shortcut keys have no effect.

List View Shortcuts
SHIFT Insert — Launches the selected image item in the application it was designed for (i.e., bitmaps will load into MSPaint, Tiffs into Imaging for Windows). If there is no associated application or the file is not located, Windows Explorer will launch.

Arrow Keys, Page Up and Down — navigates the current list.

F2 — This is a specialized function key that works only from the Temp Folder. Hitting F2 will delete the selected items permanently from the database.

F3 — If you turn off single click access and select a category from the "List View," this option will remove the "Read-Only" attributes of all of the files in the group. This function will fail if your images are located on a CD-ROM or restricted drive.

F5 — Equivalent of "Find Source."

SHIFT F6 — Adds the selected item to the "Presentation" and loads it in "Presentation Mode."

SHIFT F8 — Clears the admitted date off of the selected group. Use only if you have admitted an item accidentally. Works only from "Admitted" folder. (Requires reloading of case.)

F9 — Enables drag-and-drop to program outside of Sanction. Drag is reset immediately after drop.

SHIFT F9 — Creates a list of the file paths to the selected items and copies them to the clipboard. They can then be pasted into any other application as text.

F11 — For "Documents and Images," displays tool window. For "Transcripts," copies the selected transcript to a floppy disk.

F12 — Launches "Presentation Mode."
