TimeMap

Using Your TimeMap Visuals in PowerPoint, WordPerfect and Word
TimeMap makes it easy to turn your chron charts into metafiles that can be used in other applications. For example, you can create your chart in TimeMap and then use it in a word-processing document or in presentation software such as Microsoft PowerPoint.

Metafiles are great because once they are in a word-processing or presentation document, they can be resized without losing the quality of the image. And, if you're using a presentation package such as PowerPoint, you can break the chart into separate objects and edit it further.

Here are the steps for moving your chart into another program as a metafile:

1. Open the chart you want to transfer.

2. On TimeMap’s "Edit" menu, click "Copy Metafile" to Clipboard.

3. Open your word processor or presentation program.

4. In the target program’s "Edit" menu, select the "Paste Special" option.

5. In the "Paste Special" dialog box, select "Picture (Enhanced Metafile)" and click "OK."

Your help is always appreciated. If you have a tip that you would like to submit, please e-mail it to us, and include your name, telephone number, and the program to which your tip applies.
