computing is clearly in its heyday as evidenced by the sheer number of notebooks used on
trains, planes and other locations. Unfortunately, mobile users often need a certain
amount of handholding that their employers cannot provide. Enter Norton Mobile Essentials. This software package consists of three main components: Before You Go, Location Controller and a Connection Doctor. Each of these provides key tools for different aspects of mobile computing. The best in this lot is the SpeedSave where you can quickly backup important files. The second module, Location Controller,

Troubleshooting a modem connection can be very challenging, even for experts. This Doctor guides you through several tests to make resolving problems easier. You can even call a remote location to test your system. If a problem is detected, suggestions and details on fixing the problem are provided. If your firm lacks round-the-clock help desk services, this could be a real lifesaver for your firm's notebook users. |
