The SEC's EDGAR filing system, mandatory since 1996, requires that all SEC public filings be made electronically. While this puts a lot of information at hand, finding what you need when you need it can be difficult. Global Securities Information's Executive Compensation Plan Documents on CD-ROM, published by Glasser Legal-Works utilizing the powerful Folio search engine, makes these types of searches much more manageable.

For those unfamiliar with Folio, this package comes complete with "The Tour," a streamlined, well-planned introduction to using the infobases and search tools effectively. Also included is the distinctive "Search Strategies," which helps create accurate query phrases to lessen the occurrence of "false positives." Once the query has been defined, you can backtrack over information you have reviewed, you can follow or create links of various types, you can utilize the table of contents of a particular infobase, you can add notes or highlight specific areas of text. These customizations can be saved in a shadow file, so that multiple users can save their particular searches without interfering with the CD's base information.
