AnyTime Deluxe 5.0

PIMs

Installing AnyTime Deluxe is a breeze. Unlike most of these programs, it senses if you are using Windows 95. The default directory uses long file names. After installing, you can choose from various holiday sets by country and add a shortcut to your Start Menu.

The default view for AnyTime Deluxe is the Day Planner (calendar). Most attorneys will want to start here, although you can switch to the phone book or notebook. Adding appointments in AnyTime Deluxe is simple. Choose the desired day and double-click on the time slot. The dialog box provides a start and stop time with an option for alarms. Notes can be entered for any entry. In the Day Planner view, you move back and forward by clicking on the page bottom corners, similar to Lotus Organizer.

To-Do items are easily handled by AnyTime Deluxe. New items can be added using the Menu bar, or by using the entry screen just below the tool bar (not displayed in the Weekly and Monthly view). Double clicking on the To-Do area can also be used to pop-up a dialog box. Priorities can be assigned values from 1 to 9 using a drop-down menu. AnyTime provides full drag & drop capability for appointments and to-do items. Uncompleted items can be automatically rolled over to the next day.

The Phone Book view shows you an alphabetical listing of your entries, one page per letter. Another convenient entry bar appears under the tool bar (or double-click on the open area in the Phone Book). The Phone Book is very basic, providing room for only one address per entry. However, you can enter up to six phone numbers per entry, using either the drop down labels (Home, Work, Fax, Cellular, Pager, Car or E-Mail) or your own.

AnyTime Deluxe provides a huge variety of forms for printing info from your PIM. Although not directly relevant to lawyers, you can download a wide range of files for integration, including New Word of the Day, Moon Phases, and various sports schedules. These add-ins are grabbed directly from the Internet and can be automatically integrated or saved to disk. AnyTime also provide e-mail functionality and integrates with Microsoft Exchange or any other MAPI-compliant e-mail program.
