Mitratech's Corporate Legal Management System
(CLMS) is a powerhouse application for people with powerhouse needs. If you're interested
in customizing your corporate project management solution so that it not only gives you
everything you want, but also integrates with your existing in-house applications,
consider CLMS. This application delivers ease, flexibility and integration.CLMS should be considered the BMW of corporate matter management applications. And like BMWs, it's not inexpensive. Also understand that, unlike BMWs, with CLMS virtually everything is an option. With Mitratech, a few things are true: your corporate matter management system is customized to your specific needs and well-integrated with your in-house systems. Although you may run into other Mitratech systems similar to yours in other corporate legal departments, no two installations are alike. And as with expensive cars, you have lightning speed and the quality you desire--at a premium price. CLMS is customized from one basic relational database engine called Flourish. Flourish is Mitratech's proprietary product for creating enterprise-wide solutions for a variety of corporate products, including corporate legal. With Mitratech, while the basic engine is the same, its manifestation for your particular organization will be customized to your particular needs. At its simplest level, individual customization means you have total control over what you choose to include in your corporate matter management application. The basic parts of the application include: Matter Tracking, Party Tracking, Calendar, Tickler, Automatic Scheduler, Budgeting, Cost Allocation, Outside Counsel Invoice Management, Timekeeping, Letter and Forms Generation and Word Processing Integration. When you acquire CLMS you get all of these modules. But whether or not you use them, and how you decide to implement them or integrate them with existing applications in your organization, is entirely up to you. In the matter tracking module, you may decide to change CLMS' field names from Project Number to Matter Number, and Project Name to Matter Name. CLMS gives you complete control to change field names or add fields to track specific information required by your department. You may also decide to substitute CLMS' Document Buddy (their document management application) with your current in-house documentmanagement application. You may even decide--by virtue of the size and complexity of your installation--to use CLMS in client/server mode. CLMS offers a variety of client/server options. If your company uses Oracle, Sybase or Microsoft's SQL client/server database applications, there are CLMS solutions for you. Like most corporate legal project managers, CLMS employs the standard icons and pull-down menus, making for an easy-to-access application. The basic application managed four general categories of information: Files and People, Events, Money and Documents. CLMS pull-down menus and toolbar icons are self-explanatory. You can view the detail on a matter by clicking on the File Detail pull-down menu or the opening folder icon. CLMS features a full assortment of matter search capabilities and table lookup features. All CLMS matters can be searched using a form template. Complete whatever part of the template you wish to search on (e.g., part of a matter name), and CLMS will retrieve a list of matters that satisfies your search criteria. Part of CLMS' strategy is to provide you with complete integration with your existing in-house applications. If, for example, CLMS' accounting information needs to be integrated with your in-house accounting applications, CLMS will customize your in-house accounting applications. CLMS provides corporate legal departments with a full-featured approach to corporate legal project management. With CLMS you can customize your application to your specific needs. This application provides users with a great deal of flexibility and power, for a price. If you're a large law office with very particular needs and a variety of offices, consider CLMS. |
